DJ

Bass Ibellini

The last few years of touring has seen Bas Ibellini hit the notes you’d expect: Fabric (London), Amnesia, Space and DC10 (Ibiza), elrow and Florida 135 (Barcelona), Fuse (Brussels), Nordstern (Basel), überhaus (Beirut), Output (New York), and Space (Miami).
A perfect blend of shuddering bass, shadowed crowds and shifting time zones spanning nights with CircoLoco, Music On and The Warehouse Project as well as the grainy sands of Sonus, Sunwaves, and BPM festival.
Between travels, this London-native can be found at home in his Hoxton Studio, fixated on mastering a deeper understanding of his craft. A methodical approach that reveals something of his roots in music: a childhood of collecting records and a fascination with microphones and live recordings. The result – a cheeky, funk-infused sound with fancy footwork that dances with influences ranging from Prince and Hall & Oates to Matthew Herbert and The Neptunes.
With a few releases on Seth Troxler and the Martinez Brothers’ Tuskegee imprint and Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels, his diversity is evident in his productions. Bas’ remix game hasn’t been bad either, with recent works on Classic Company and Secret Music, getting positive critique from some of the scenes heavyweights including Marco Carola and Loco Dice.
For Bas, ‘downtime’ means hosting his own East London night: Peculiar. A brand that encapsulates his the artist’s playful irreverence and sees oversized teddy bears dangling from the ceiling above headliners including Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Guy Gerber, The Mole and Herodot to name a few.
A deep-rooted love for music, passed down from a musical family, has placed Bas in a fortunate position. Years of hard work, from pushing himself to become an expert turntablist as a youngster to putting on his own ‘Peculiar’ parties in London, have laid the foundations for his growing success.

On the production tip, Bas has taken a considered though enthusiastic tact, spending days on end toiling away in the studio. Learning the craft inside out, he prefers to take his time to release music. Over the last three years he has managed releases on Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers’ Tuskegee imprint, and Crosstown Rebels’ sub-label, Rebellion.

In 2016, he will continue on his upwards trajectory, with support from and collaborations with fellow artists he has befriended throughout his travels. While lining up more top level gigs (as well as the cheeky after-parties), and steadily releasing fresh new jams, Bas is basically living his dream.

DJ

Bill Patrick

In America, specifically NYC, Bill Patrick is a man of many accolades… Since his days as a DJ in legendary clubs such as The Limelight, Vinyl & Arc, he has charmed our hearts and moved our bodies. Not to mention being co-founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio’s alluring and witty host. Within the world of electronic music everyone has a tale about our friend Bill Patrick. Some funny, some sad, some tragic, most shady, but at the end of each story or any encounter with this demigod you’re left wanting more.

In 2008, this mythical creature, who by chance was reborn a man, relocated to Berlin. Why? Few know. Some say it was in search of gold, some suggest it was out of self loathing, those in his inner circle say it was to be closer to them. He says it was to challenge the European state of mind and how sexually active they, as a people, can become. In any event all legend and lore were left behind. So where has that left this man, this nu-romantic? I’ll tell you, striving to be more. It doesn’t matter that the only places he now plays are mega festivals like Outline in Moscow, Sunwaves in Romania, or super clubs like Arma 17, Fabric, and Rex in Paris. Currently touring the globe and vocally enlightening the Universe, Bill still finds time to update his Facebook fan page and send out extremely well written tweets. But he wants to step out of his box and come to you, to educate the minds of the world with his deep, psychedelic take on contemporary dance music. With the help of his unwavering comrades; Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves, he is destined to thrive!

DJ

Gescu

Gescu is one of the artists that has grown under Sunrise Booking Agency’s wing. Since joining Sunrise back in 2007, he has evolved from a young, aspiring DJ to one of the constant performers on the Romanian electronic music scene.

While artists such as Ricardo Villaobos, Zip or Thomas Melchior laid early layers for his style, being a member of the new wave of Romanian artists means that his musical pattern is drawn from the sounds produced by the local music scene, blended with his pick of international records.

Combining sleek mixing skills with a calm and confident demeanor, Gescu has also proven his versatility as a DJ, versatility that has seen him opening some of Sunrise most important events in Romania, headlining various events abroad or playing long back2back after-hours sets at Sunwaves with fellow Romanian artists.

Formerly a member of Toi Toi Musik collective, an established and admired party and label amongst music heavyweights that are based in London, his newest project has led him to Berlin where his focus remains on growing his potential in the studio and concentrating on developing his label; Discobar.

DJ

Latex

LATEX – Gato
jakarta – Indonesia
I have always been curious about computers, technology, electronic music and science. Through the early 2000’s, i had explored how to make electronic music by hardware, I started with a Roland mc-303 groovebox, began my experiment with 90’s hardware. Finding some rare drum machines, samplers and started making my own tracks recorded onto cassete tape recorder, i challenge to my self to keep exploring & learning the process of how a track is constructed by doing Live set until nowdays with relevant sense.
Latex’s music is about the exploration of analog 90’s synth, Groovebox RAW sound, Rough bass, repetitive rhythm and random structure, its all about 90’s hardware, Groovebox and chopped-up sample.

DJ

PNNY

PNNY is a symbiotic collective of unique artists, music events and promotion company and representation agency for musical talent. PNNY would definitely be a big, fat, flavourful nasi campur. Their DJs span such a wide range of genres represent so many different sounds and colours of partying, and all come together in the most delicious way possible. But definitely with red rice – ‘cause they’re good for you.

DJ

Robin Ordell

Currently based in Berlin Frenchman Robin Ordell output takes influence from three key European cities; Nice, London and the German capital city. His penchant for Jazz imbues his music with deep soulful grooves, characterized by improvisation, syncopation and an insistent rhythm. Deep, bassy tones, together with infectious breaks and warm loops flow through his sets and productions, while touches of minimal experimentation and a strong house motif make up his signature sound.

Growing up around funk music during his formative years in Nice, France, Robin left home early relocating to East London in 2007, where he was drawn to the burgeoning underground club scene. Influenced by the French style of the nineties, while also drawing on inspiration from deeper German minimal sounds Robin was entrenched in the fertile East London scene during this exciting era of London’s history.

2009 was a notable year in Ordell’s progression as a DJ, it was during this time that infamous London party Half Baked was conceived and he became one of their full-time residents. It was at this party where he really established himself as a versatile selector who can blend a range of styles into his sets with confidence and panache. When he’s not DJing Robin spends much of his time between his studio and record shops.

As a keen studio hound, Robin is always jamming and making music, some of which has been released via labels such as Seuil’s Eklo, Discobar, Finest Hour, Hello?Repeat and Half Baked’s own record label. In 2014 he became part of the Lola ED agency, joining an array of underground luminaries and marking an important step forward in his decade-long career. In 2017 he continues to travel around Europe, with a steady flow of releases and a constant desire to channel the soul of jazz, house and funk music through his Ordell-shaped filter.
